There are many things to do from this general location!  Wine tasting, White Sands National Monument, Space Museum, Cloudcroft - explore this small mountain community, Three Rivers Petrogryph, Valley of Fire, Ruidoso - which is a great vistior attraction to include: shopping, horse races, casinos, fabulous restaurants, and great scenery catching elk, deer, and wild horses.

We loved our stay at Mountain Meadows! We loved the sunsets and the quiet surroundings by being so secluded. They even had sleds and wax for us to use at White Sands. It was nice to see the green space created in the center of the campground where people can gather and enjoy some shade. I'm glad you are adding more trees and plants. Its a nice feature that most other parks are missing. Thoroughly enjoyed both White Sands and the Three Rivers petroglyphs. We wished we had planned more days in Alamogordo at your RV park! Being from South Carolina, we may not make it back to New Mexico, ... but if we do, we will definitely plan on staying at Mountain Meadows again.

Wow. This place is great little private owned campground. Sleds to borrow for White Sands National Park, accommodating friendly owner, nice personal touches to the bathhouse. Thank you Crystal for helping us with our scheduling issues. Definitely our first choice when we come back to the area.

Campground Response

Thank you David and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay! Hope you got to do some things with the winds we had during your stay.

Campground Response

Thank you Donna! Word of mouth always helps - hope to see you in the future!

I wrote a previous review for another campground with "Mountain" in their name. Sorry. I should have been more diligent in my reading of requested endorsements. Mountain Meadows was a very clean, very quiet, well-functioning RV park. We enjoyed our time there and will recommend it to anyone traveling that way.

Campground Response

Thank you Ron and I understand being more diligent haha! All recommendations are greatly appreciated and hope to see you again in the future!

The winds were from the west at more than 25 mph so we set up in blowing sand, but everything worked well and we got a good night's rest. The facility is under going additional constructions so it's going to be a wonderful park. Now, if they could just do something about those West Texas winds.

Campground Response

Ron glad you corrected your review to the above one! I was wondering how you knew I'd be doing some construction in the coming future - guess it helps if you are reviewing the right park hahaha!

Off the beaten path and thus quiet. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious sites and good maneuverability. The setting is beautiful and right next to an interesting arroyo. Don't let the disarray coming in from the state road dissuade you, the park itself is well-maintained.

Campground Response

Thank you Andrew! We enjoyed having you guys and I always forget to tell people about the drive in - it can definitely be discouraging!!

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Meadows. It is a little off the beaten path but still very accessible and easy to get in and out of. It is a small, quiet rv park next to open desert which I loved walking my dog in. The sunsets were amazing. The laundry and shower faculties are nothing fancy but it was clean and washers were good. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Campground Response

Thank you Carrie - so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! We are definitely not a fancy park but the peacefulness in itself is worth it!

Quiet out of the way. Very friendly staff. Hidden gem. Would stay here again.

Campground Response

Thank you Dan! We get told all the time of what a "gem" of a park this is - nothing fancy but has the basic needs and of course the quietest park in the surrounding area!

Quiet and comfortable. Great place to walk the dogs and enjoy scenery. Close to great sites to visit including White Sands and Three Rivers Petroglyphs.

Campground Response

Debra we are a great Central location to many areas! Walking the dogs out by the arroyo is some of the guests favorite things to do as we don't have a dog park but we have a great area for your dogs to walk/run safely!

I’m sure it’s just me but I couldn’t find it. Saw the signs but wasn’t able to locate it. So I can’t comment on the park. Had to find and book someplace else.

Campground Response

I’m sorry that you couldn’t find the park- we’ve never had that issue before and our reflective signs make it very noticeable. We did stay up waiting for you to arrive into the wee hours of the night and we never received a phone call from you that you were having any troubles or issues because we would’ve gladly driven down the road to help you. I can’t imagine not even calling when you had already paid for a 2 night stay.

Great hostess! Christi was helpful and pleasant. The camp is well maintained and clean. Sights were leaves and water pressure was average. One note: the had the pipes insulated then put insulation inside a 5 gallon bucket. When you turn buckets upside down your hose and spigot are insulated. We also enjoyed our time watching quail tittering around the park

Campground Response

Thank you Vicki! The quail sure like to entertain everyone!

We stayed at Mountain Meadows RV Park for 3 nights while exploring New Mexico…. Crystal met us at the entrance and guided us to an easy pull thru with a Fantastic view of desert and the Sacramento Mountain Range out our living room window! Simple, clean quiet campground/ several full timers but very friendly. Free sled and wax for White Sands National Park and the dunes in the Super Clean Laundry Room! Several neat small towns to visit and the mountain drives were Amazing! Full hook up with 50 amp do didn’t use bathrooms/ showers , but they too were spotless!! We would recommend a stop here definitely!

Campground Response

Thank you so much Janet! It was a pleasure having you stay with us!
