While the site did state that kitchen pans and utensils were absent it did not state that towels and wash cloths were absent AND there was no TV. This surprised us. I always bring my own towel and such but my brothers had to go to Walmart. No big deal there but the TV was huge. We stayed there about 4 years ago and I thought everything was present. Otherwise stay was pleasant. Last time stayed under William Davis. Did say fully equipped.

There was no where to really swim, volleyball pit was concrete instead of sand, and both fishing docs were in bad shape. The cabin smelled like really old chewing tobacco, but it was clean. The people from the office were pleasant, but LaMancha needs big updating.

This was our 4th or 5th year to go to LaMancha Lake Ranch for a Family Reunion. They have always been very friendly, helpful and have always worked with us with whatever needs we have needed. I would highly recommend them.

This place is AMAZING! I have stayed there many times and it was a joy every time. You will literally stay in a beautiful cabin overlooking Lake Leon and spot some exotic animals at the same time. The owner is awesome and puts on a 4th of July fireworks show that rivals any in the big cities. If you are lucky you can rent the 2-story cabin and sit out on the balcony and see fireworks that look like they will rain down on your head! I would recommend this place to everyone. Oh and take in the sunrises and sunsets because they are spectacular.

Rented cabins Numbers 9 and 10. Never expected this to happen. Our first and last time! Beds were infested with bedbugs! Woke up with them on my face! Turned on the lights to find 100's of them! Even though we did get a full refund we will never go back. Threw away most of clothes suitcases towels we took. We left in such a hurry we even left food in the fridge. We are having nightmares now and can't sleep.

Campground Response

We are truly sorry this has happened, we have check both cabins and there were none found in 9 but we are treating it as if there were. As far as 10, we did find them in the bedroom with the queen bed but no where else in the cabin. I had professionals come out and inspect the cabins. They will be treating both for this unfortunate situation. So for the time being these cabins are shut down until the treatment has been completed. Again we are truly sorry we had NO idea, if we had they would not have been rented out. Tammy Manager

RV park has a very peaceful atmosphere, we enjoyed it very much! lake access is very close and the people working are very friendly and helpful. It's a bit outdated as far as the cabins and activities surrounding that area is concerned but as for the RV park, they have nice leveled spots. placed has a lot of trees so lots of shaded areas.

We love LA Mancha! We have been going there for over 30 years. Lots of changes due to floods, etc., but they have done an amazing job with up keep and remodel. Tammy is so nice and it is great to see Pete who has worked there for 40 years on the grounds. We will continue to go back!!

Stayed at RV site 1 next to the office, not lakeview, but easy and close access to boat ramp/lake front. Also had cabin #2-4 for family and close to water but not lakefront. It was as described, 4 bunkbeds (bring own sheets, blankets, pillow cases). Very basic, but A/C runs cold. Tammy, the manager, was very professional and helpful. Very laid back atmosphere, clean area and lake view from cabin 5 & 6 awesome! Large enough area to accomodate our 50+ family members. Overall nice stay for our family reunion and would stay again.

I’ll start by saying that the location of the cabin is right by the boat ramp and people were parking their trailers in the parking spots right outside of the cabin. It wasn’t a huge issue but we did have to utilize the parking that was a little more of a walk. One of the reasons I booked this cabin is because it said “full kitchen” on the website but when we got there, it was not furnished with anything other than a stove, microwave; and fridge- no cookware or silverware… not even dish soap or cleaning supplies. The cabin was much dirtier than I would have liked it to be. There was hair in the showers and stuck on soap, bedrooms had cobwebs and dead bugs in the corners and windowsills and the stairs were covered in dirt. While it does have a pretty location, I think it needs some work for the price you pay or at least more transparency of what is not provided. The beds were awful and all of us are still hurting from them.
